US. stocks jumped amid higher better-than-estimated domestic and Chinese data.
At 9:44 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average soared 83.38 points, or 0.32%, at 26,090.45.The S&P 500 gained 16.82 points, or 0.58%, at 2,900.80.
The Nasdaq Composite advanced 49.73 points, or 0.63%, at 7,912.56.
Mortgage rates largely declines over the course of the past week amid issues in regards to the ongoing trade dispute with China.
The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 3.6% during the week ending Aug. 8, a loss of around 15 basis points from the previous week, according to the Freddie Mac.
At around 9:21 a.m. ET, the yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note, jumped 1.75%, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was also higher at 2.271%.
