U.S. Market Review


Stocks declined today, after some negative pressure a continuing retreat in tech shares.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded lost 24 points or 0.1%.
The S&P 500 tumbled 0.3% along with the Nasdaq Composite.
Tech stocks .SPLRCT, emerged as the highest performed on the S&P-500 with a 29% surge this year, slipped 0.84%.
Real estate .SPLRCR dropped almost 1.50%, the most among the 11 major S&P sectors.
The sector is the second best performer of the year, gaining 25%. U.S. government debt yields advanced today as traders are further selling Treasurys in September following a good August mark.
The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note gained 1.69%, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was also higher at around 2.168%.
